Should preachers be prosperity teachers? That's a good question! I believe with America trillions of dollars in debt and Britain billions of pounds in debt, which means we the people are financial slaves to a system, our kids will pay for something they did not create and our nation will be owned by people who did nothing to build it 'yes' the preacher should teach prosperity?

Should preachers have solutions. 'Yes' I believe preachers are a voice to the nation and can speak on things giving clear and distinctive guidelines that are truth, biblical and beneficial. I believe God has a clear and distinctive message for the nations that 'involves' his word on 'wealth' and the economy, both globally to nations and personally to individuals. Without knowledge his people are destroyed and without God, nations become broke and barren and even cursed and its time to wake up to these facts.

Is the prosperity message the gospel? Its not the gospel of salvation but it is 'good news' to the poor. It wont get you saved but it will save you from bankruptcy. It wont get you right with God, neither will having nothing get you right with God. Having much or having nothing are not conditions for entrance into heaven!

I do know for a surety that pastors and ministers must speak God's word into cities, to leaders and for nations. The economy is a big issue right now and since all nations belong to the Lord, God has both the final say and the instructions as to how 'we the people' can live as a blessed people in such times. The gospel covers 'life' and has such, provides us with Gods solution for man, spiritually, physically, soulically and financially. It is good news for the whole man.

Here are some considerations to ponder:

1. If we cannot handle your money We will have to borrow or beg. Neither are God's will.
2. If we don't tythe or give to missionaries, they will not be able to carry out their ministries on a global scale and impact the word with the gospel that is a fact. The gospel is free however the tools to do are are not.
3. If we don't support missionaries the nations that they woudl have otherwise gone to will reject them and will embrace religion rather than Christianity, This means freedom of speech and wealth that comes from Christian values and teaching will be done away with, and poverty will come to that land. See (Psalm 33:12 and Deut 28:47-52).

I am a missionary. I lived for 15 years taking care of myself never asking for an offering. The result I travelled fifteen years around America preaching the gospel, never preaching money. However the Lord gave me a wake up call. and asked me 'how many preachers could I support, how many missionaries could I help, how many poor people was I give too as a result of my 'I can make it mentality?' the answer, 'nobody but me Lord.' Then the lord showed me how selfish I was.

I never preach for money and i dont preach properity instead of or in place of true salvation message. But I talk about it and share powerful keys to financial blessing which works. Someone once said 'balance is for ballerinas.' True! but its for your bank manager also.
