The Book of Eli

Denzel Washington stars in The Book of Eli a wow film.
The scene is set some 30 years 'after the future,' or rather should I say after the 'end of the world' as Hollywood is so found of showing us these days. Eli walks through the wastelands of America, with it's devastated towns. Water has a high price and so too has has Eli's Book. However he can't easily be stopped. Armed with supernatural powers given to him from God to accomplish a specific mission
His mission, well let me just tell you that Hollywood let's us know he has a 'Bible.' and his enemies, chief of all a small town despot played by Gary Oldman. Harry Potter's Godfather. (Maybe there's a spiritual message or hidden reasoning here) the one man that knows the power of the book and will stop at nothing to get it.
I like it's graphics, story and presentation and finally a clear message from Hollywood that not only mentions the Bible but is about the Bible, while being a great 'non religious' film to watch. Thumbs up for you Hollywood. I came out of there wanting to carry a bible with me everywhere I go. A great film and no bad language, well, from Denzel Washington. Who I discovered is the Son of a Preacher who spent most of his life in the ministry.
